About Our Organization

Our Mission

To provide a unique educational experience through musical theater for children and teens that nourishes the body, mind and spirit in a supportive, non-competitive environment.  Our musical theater experience not only encourages personal growth, but creates awareness of social issues and themes in a way that helps to foster peace and nonviolence as a way of life.

What We Offer

Year-round musical theater workshops and camps for children ages 7-17.  Through a variety of theater activities, including dance, voice, theater games, improvisation, and everything that goes into supporting live performance, children have opportunities to strengthen individual performances while also learning how to support the entire group as part of the ensemble.  dee-Lightful participants come from all corners of the Los Angeles area.  The wide age span creates a unique environment for kids to be able to interact, work together and learn from each other.

Our Goals

  • To use the art of musical theater as a vehicle to develop healthy, confident, well-rounded kids who have a sense of their value in the world.
  • To create a self-sufficient organization to facilitate the smooth production of year-round workshops, summer camps, and the culminating productions.
  • To ensure the staffing of well-run, efficient camps and workshops.
  • To provide more scholarships for kids in need.
  • To be recognized as a valuable component of our community's cultural environment.
